ABODA NSW Reading Day 2022

This is not your “average” reading day. ABODA NSW with AUSTA NSW are running a reading day that is a little different to other reading days. Previous reading days might have been a highlights package of new repertoire from the large publishing houses. This time, we’re looking at showcasing repertoire that features home grown composers and Australian publishers, as well as works from a diverse community of composers from right across the planet.

A reading day in November should allow ensemble directors to formulate a strategic and musically diverse repertoire list in preparation for 2023. These works can be programmed for ASBOF, eisteddfods and concerts and will have great curriculum links including “Music of Other Cultures”, “Music of the Last 25 Years (Australian Focus)” etc.

There will be two streams of ensembles throughout the day. A wind band and a string ensemble.
